Seminar on modeling organic forms at the Waldorf Education Summer School in Toronto from July 13 to 17, 2026, led by academic architect Oldřich Hozman.
A child develops in rhythms. In each seven-year period, one of the four members of the human is built up. We can support proper development of these members with appropriate forms according to the character of each seven-year period. During our workshop, we will model appropriate forms for each seven-year period. The foundations of these forms can subsequently form the entire school environment and architecture. At this
workshop you will learn to model basic organic shapes,
metamorphoses between them, and connections with the
four members of the human being (physical body, body of
formative forces, astral body, and organization of the Self). The aim of the workshop is to connect knowledge about child and human development with the artistic creation of the environment that surrounds us. To connect intellectual knowledge about humans with the artistic conception of the environment for education.
